Privacy Policy

The Short Version

We don't store your fonts. They're processed in memory and discarded as soon as the result is sent back. No accounts, no cookies, no analytics. The site is hosted by Vercel, whose servers keep standard request logs (including IP addresses), and the converted font is saved in your own browser so it's still there when you come back.

What Data We Collect

• Your font files: Processed in memory only and discarded when processing finishes. Never kept
• No personal information: We don't ask for a name, email, account, or any identifying details
• No usage tracking: We don't record which fonts you upload or track your activity
• No cookies or analytics: We don't use cookies, trackers, or analytics tools

How We Process Your Fonts

1. You upload a font file (.ttf or .otf) through your browser
2. The file is sent to our converter over HTTPS (encrypted in transit)
3. We check it's a real, undamaged font
4. We add the stencil bridges in memory
5. We send the result back to your browser
6. The upload and the result are discarded as soon as the response has been sent

How Long We Keep Your Files

• During processing: In memory only, usually 5–30 seconds depending on the font
• After processing: Nothing is kept. If a file ever has to be written to disk while it's being processed, it's overwritten and deleted straight afterwards
• Permanently: Zero retention. We don't keep copies or backups of your fonts

Saved in Your Browser

After a conversion, the site saves the converted font and its previews in your browser's own storage (IndexedDB), so they're still there if you leave the page and come back. This stays on your device and is never sent to us. It's removed when you click "Process another font", or when you clear this site's data in your browser.

What We Log (And Don't Log)

Separately, our hosting provider automatically keeps standard request logs for a limited time, as every web server does: your IP address, the time, which page or service was requested, and your browser type. We don't use them to identify anyone.

Hosting

The website and the font converter are hosted by Vercel Inc. The pages are served from Vercel's global network, and fonts are processed on Vercel's servers in London. Vercel handles the request logs described above on our behalf. See Vercel's privacy policy. We use no other third-party services: no analytics, advertising, or storage providers.

Your Data Rights

We don't hold any personal data about you apart from the hosting provider's request logs above, which expire automatically. There are no accounts or profiles to request, correct, or delete.

Data Transmission Security

• In transit: All communication uses HTTPS (TLS encryption)
• At rest: Fonts aren't stored, so there's nothing at rest to protect

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to how we handle data, we'll update this policy and note the date. We'll never retroactively weaken privacy guarantees.
